What a rainy Wednesday it is here in Virginia!  I think it’s been raining 24 hours straight now…   makes me sleepy!  This is a totally over-the-top busy week but I realized I hadn’t posted since Saturday so I tried hard to steal a few minutes to stamp the Mojo Sketch.  Here’s my card:

Can you believe October is almost over?  What happened to it?!

It’s such a fun time I year to make cards.  With Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas around the corner, there are plenty of ideas of things to make but also usually a shortage of time!  I wanted to make another card with this beautiful stamp so when I saw the Mojo Sketch challenge this week, I knew what to use!

Here’s what I used:
Stamps:  Christmas Treasures (JustRite)
Paper:  Real Red, Garden Green, Real Red DSP, Whisper White
Ink:  Stazon Jet Black,  Adirondack Pitch Black,
Accessories:  Organza Ribbon,  Mat Pack/Paper Piercer, Dimensionals, Copics, Snowflake punch (Martha Stewart), rhinestones,  Nestabilities,

Monday Mojo on Tuesday…

mojo104 2

I don’t seem to be able to get to the Mojo sketches on Monday but they’re just as fun to do on Tuesday!  Didn’t Whimpy on Popeye used to say something like that???  I’m dating myself!

Anywho…Not an easy sketch for me.  I took my card apart several times changing colors.  Here’s what I ended with.  You can find the Mojo sketches by clicking the “Monday – Mojo Sketch” to the right under Stampin’ Challenges.  Give it a try!  Julee always does a great job creating them!

Here’s What I Used:
Stamps: Best Yet (retired), Flower for all Seasons,
Paper: Old Olive, Dusty Durango, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, More Mustard,
Ink: Chocolate Chip,
Accessories: copic markers, flower embossing folder, small gold buttons, Old Olive 5/8″ ribbon, Swiss Dot embossing folder, Nestabilities, 1 1/4″ Circle punch, 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Dimensionals

Mojo 101

mojo101 2I had this card done and ready to post on Monday when my internet went out!  The router died!  It’s been a major hassle to get a new router from Verizon but after spending 3 hours on the phone with them last night, I had a tech at my door first this morning.

A couple weeks ago I won a Verve stamp set for this card.  The set I chose and used for this card is called Just For You.  I combined the Mojo101 Sketch with last week’s SCS Color Challenge of Teal, Vanilla, Cocoa.  (It’s really hard to get a good photo of Teal.  I don’t use it normally so I didn’t realize how hard it is to get a true color photo.)  Anyway…Here’s what I came up with.

And here’s what I used for the card:
Stamps: Just For You,
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla, Taken with Teal
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip,
Accessories: Nestabilities, Mat Pack/Paper Piercer, Sponge, Photo Corners punch, button (non SU),

Thanks for stopping by! Come again soon!

Mojo Sarah

MojoSarahI’m sorry it’s been much longer than I had intended since my last post.  I’m so swamped this week with other projects that I haven’t had time to sit at my stamping desk.  I still have 30 swaps for the Freaks to finish up so I can get them in the mail tomorrow!   I deal with that shortly!  So…I wanted to participate in the Mojo Sarah Sketch.  If you don’t know what that is, click on the Mojo Monday link under “Sites I Frequent” on the right.  They’re having a sketch challenge every day this week instead of just Monday!

I loved the clean colors of this Pawsitively Prints DSP that is coming out in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I probably won’t be ordering the “bear” stuff but love the paper.  And, I’m not much of a yellow lover but I did love this yellow gingham that came in the pack.  It’s a sunny but muggy day here in Virginia so it made me feel like using this bright “sunny” paper.  Anyone guess what stampset this is?  It’s one of my all-time favs.  Yes, it retired long ago but I still love to use it.  It’s called “Basket Full of Fun”.

Here’s what I used:
Stamps: Basket Full of Fun,
Paper: Pawsitively Prints DSP, Barely Banana, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Bashful Blue, Cameo Coral, Almost Amethyst, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Sponge dauber, Nestabilities, Eyelet Border punch, Mat Pack/Paper Piercing tool, Organza Ribbon, Aqua Painter,

Thanks for stopping by!

Another Monday Mojo on Tuesday…

…and Tuesday is almost over too!  Where do the days go??  At the moment, mine are spent trying to chase my 3-yr old grandaughter and keep her out of trouble.  An impossible task for 5 adults and one 11-yr old.  You’d think we could handle just one 3-yr old.  She’s quick.  So any chance I get for some “quiet” time, I take it!

Accessories: Certainly Celery marker, Real Red button, Spring Bouquet Flower punch, White Embroidery floss, Wide Black Organdy ribbon, Tempting Turquoise eyelet, Small Oval punch, Mat Pack/Paper Piercing tool, Ticket Punch, Corner Rounder punch, Aqua Painter,

Mojo Monday Happy Birthday!

mojo 98Happy Mojo Monday to you!  My daughter and 2 grandaughters are still here and my oldest grandaughter will be 3 tomorrow!  So I used the Mojo 98 sketch to make her a birthday card.  She’s all about pink and princesses so I used all pink on this card!  We were walking through WalMart looking for school supplies last week and there’s Allie with 2 princess purses on each arm and picking up every other backpack, pencil case, socks, folder, notebook, etc that have the Disney Princesses on them.

mojo98closeHere’s a close up view of the layers and you can see the glitter better.

Happy Tuesday to all of you!  It’s a beautiful sunny day here in the Richmond, VA area!  I love the weather here!  My daughter and grandaughters are visiting so I’m not going to be spending much time at the stamping desk but I made a quick card with the mojo 96 sketch (actually, it wasn’t quick at all but I’m not telling how long it took!).  The sketch was a challenge for me but I enjoyed it!  I always enjoy Julee’s classy sketches.
