Not “All About Stamping” today

It’s been soooo long since I posted!  I apologize.  I’ve been to Idaho and Arizona visiting my daughter and parents and just plain busy with “other” things.  Every day I think I will get to my stamping desk and it doesn’t happen!  Ugh, so sad!  But I did make it there yesterday and had some fun!  I wanted to share a couple things I’ve been doing and hope to share more soon.

Here is a simple tag I created for some gifts I am giving.

Haul Out The Holly…It’s Time to Decorate! Challenge

Welcome friends and followers of Our Creative Corner.  Hope you’re enjoying your weekend and not stressing over the Christmas “too-many-things-to-do-not-enough-time” thoughts!

Take a little time for yourself this morning and create something with us!  I’m the hostess again this week and the challenge is to take this very basic sketch, use it, and “decorate” it!  Simple!  You can turn it on it’s side or upside-down or leave it like it is and embellish as much as you want!  Have fun and don’t stress!  Here’s my classic Christmas card!  Look carefully to notice the gold embossing around the outside edge of the vanilla circle!

Here’s What I Used:
Stamps:  The Sounding Joy
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler & DSP, Very Vanilla,
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Versamark,
Accessories:  Circle cutter, Mat Pack/paper piercer, Cherry Cobbler button, Wide organdy Ivory ribbon, Gold elastic, Gold detail embossing powder, embossing folder.

Take a look at what the rest of the OCC Design Team has created. Everyone is welcome to play along, if you upload to SCS use the keyword OCCC. If you would like to be considered for the ‘Top Talent’  award you must have your card/project submitted on the OCC blog post by Friday of next week at 11:50 ET.

Merry Christmas!

O Christmas Tree Challenge

Morning!  It’s been a pretty lazy weekend around here and I’ve enjoyed the family that’s been here and missed those that aren’t!  Hope you are all enjoying your Thanksgiving holiday!

I have a challenge to share with you from Our Creative Corner.  I’m the hostess this weekend and typically this is the weekend I put my tree and decorations up (we’ll see if I get to it this year without Julia’s help!).  So the challenge is to make a project with a Christmas tree (or pine tree if you would rather) on it.  Here’s what I came up with as a last minute entry.

Here’s What I Used:
Stamps:  Season of Joy (Yes, this is still a current SU set!), Petite Pairs
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake,
Ink:  Old Olive marker, Early Espresso, Early Espresso marker, Daffodil Delight marker,
Accessories:  Vanilla Taffeta ribbon, silver brads, texture plates, Spellbinder die,

Take a look at what our talented OCC Design Team has created.  Everyone is welcome to  play along, if you upload to SCS use the keyword OCCC. If you would like to be considered for the ‘Top Talent’ award you must have your card/project submitted on the OCC blog post by midnight Friday Dec 2nd.  Hope you enjoy the challenge!  Thanks for stopping by!
