It's All About Stamping

Come to Bethlehem again

Welcome OCC fans and friends!  I hope you’re all having a great fall Saturday.   Today’s challenge is to use at least 3 embellishments on your project.  I’ve used at least 3, possibly more depending on if you consider embossing an embellishment or not.  I’m thinking most all those things listed under “accessories” is an embellishment if it’s not a tool.

I posted a similar card 2 posts ago and liked the general layout so I made a couple slight variations in color, ribbon,  and pearls and this is the result. Navy is one of my very favorite colors and I haven’t used it in a card for awhile.

Here’s What I Used:
Stamps: Come to Bethlehem
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Silver Foil, Night of Navy DSP,
Ink: Night of Navy Craft ink (not real impressed with the coordination–looked almost like Not Quite Navy!), Stazon Jet Black
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Rhinestones, Silver pearls, Modern Label punch, Scallop Trim Border punch, White 1/8″ taffeta ribbon, Silver elastic cord, Top Note die, Dimensionals,

I hope you’ll play along today and have fun with this challenge! I appreciate you stopping by and for all of you who keep encouraging me! Be sure to check out the rest of the OCC design team creations! There is no time limit on our challenges. Feel free to participate whenever you are able. To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave a comment linking to your project so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC

  1. This is s elegant, Wendy, with the Night of Navy and the silver. I liked your first version as well, but this one is elegant as well as dramatic. Thanks so much for sharing!

  2. Ooohhhh, Wendy!!! Now you have me totally flummoxed. I didn’t think you could come up with a better color scheme than the red “Come To Bethlehem”; but I certainly like this one every bit as much. They’re gorgeous!! Sure glad I don’t have to make a decision!! xoxo

I fell in love with the Come to Bethlemen stampset the moment I saw it. Though my level of creativity was challenged a bit, I’ve been able to make several nice cards with this set.

For this card, I notice you’ve layered a white Top Note die cut over the top of a Silver one. May I ask how you did this. Did I miss something, and they come in two sizes, or did you find a cool way to achieve the image of two difference sizes?
