Welcome! This week’s challenge at Our Creative Corner is a color challenge using blue and green…any shade, any number of different hues i.e. Night of Navy, Taken with Teal, Garden Green, Green Galore, Certainly Celery, etc! Also, Totally Stampalicious will be sponsoring this weeks challenge with a $25 Gift Certificate! So start creating!
I made 2 cards, not quite thrilled with either one. I made the first one then looked for inspiration on the wall where I have 40ish of my favorite cards and found one that was done in Tempting Turquoise and Certainly Celery. So I decided to duplicate those colors. Here’s the outcome.
Here’s what I used:
Stamps: Upsy Daisy
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Tempting Turquoise DSP, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Ink: (none)
Accessories: Eyelet Border punch, Mat Pack/Paper Piercer, White gel pen, White Satin ribbon, Tempting Turquoise marker, Certainly Celery marker, Diamond stickles
Here was the first attempt and here’s what I used:
Stamps: Happy Moments
Paper: Pool Party, Brocade Blue, Garden Green, Whisper White,
Ink: Brocade Blue,
Accessories: Going Gray marker, Brocade Blue marker, Close to Cocoa marker, White Satin ribbon, Corner rounder punch, MS edge punch, Nestabilities,

They’re both beautiful, Wendy! I think I like the first one better. It has an understated elegance with the muted colors. I love that Pool Party DSP and the white ribbon is so crisp looking. Great job on the color challenge!

These are beautiful cards, Wendy – I think they’re both lovely! The turquoise and celery really look great together on your Upsy Daisy card, and I love the popped-up bird cage, border and ribbon on the second one. Don’t be too hard on yourself! *hugs*
