Welcome to the 2nd Stop on the Tour de Freak!
(Actual tour is Saturday, February 20th. Links will be active at that time)
You probably just came from Cindy Major’s blog as she was the first stop on the Tour but if not, you should go back and take a look at her amazing projects.
I’m really not much of a yellow fan (it’s too bright and cheery for me heehee!). But I do love the gingham paper in the Pawsitively Prints DSP package.
Here’s What I Used:
Stamps: Abundant Hope
Paper: Pawsitively Prints DSP, So Saffron, Whisper White,
Ink: Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand, Basic Black,
Accessories: So Saffron marker, Bashful Blue chalk, Mat Pack/Paper Piercer, White Satin Ribbon, Gold Elastic Cord, Scallop Trim Punch,
Here’s What I Used:
Stamps: All Holidays
Paper: Pawsitively Prints DSP, Barely Banana, Whisper White, plain copy paper
Ink: Basic Black,
Accessories: So Saffron button, Mat Pack/Paper Piercer, Scallop Trim Punch, Sticky Strip, Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Scallop Circle punch,
***As several of you have asked me how I made the flower, I thought I’d add this to my post. I used plain white copy paper and punched 5 Scalloped Circles. I stacked them together and sewed the button on the center to hold all layers together. Then I took the top scalloped circle and scrunched (very technical term) it up and around the button. Then I did the same with each scalloped circle layer.
***I got the pattern for the the basket off the Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Site.
It’s Basket pattern #4. Click here. (Thank you Donna Chappell for reminding me where I found it!)
Thank you so much for stopping by! Come again soon!

/ February 20, 2010Wendy, I LOVE your card and basket. The basket could be a card front too or a card front for a bag! When I run out of time I use bags. I love it when I have something great to put on the front and I am out of time. Can you share with me how you made the white flower?
Thanks, Jan

/ February 20, 2010I LOVE the yellow and white combination here. Very fresh and springy and just a little bit nostalgic (at least for me). The coloring on the flowers is beautiful and I’m so going to try the “scrunched” flower technique when I get done with this tour. The egg shape of the basket is very clever too! Terrifiic, inspiring work! Thank you for sharing it with us!
