I had to share this… A couple of weeks ago my husband asked me if I could have some cards ready for our family to make to send to our extended family and he wanted us to make them last night for our Family Night. I was surprised that he had asked but I pulled something together yesterday. Well, we had some 20-yr old missionaries over for dinner and my husband invited them to stay if they wanted to and told them that they could make a valentine card for their mothers. They took him up on the offer, I think mostly out of curiosity! Good thing I cut enough to make 9 cards! It was pretty funny actually…and kind of WEIRD to be making cards with my husband and two 20-yr old men (along with my 11-yr old son and 16-yr old daughter). That’s just not the normal clientele in my stamp classes!
Here’s what we made. They all did a great job and I think they enjoyed it although I’m not sure they’d admit it.
Stamps: I {heart} Hearts, All Year Cheer (retired)
Paper: Regal Rose, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Loves Me DSP (retired)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose
Accessories: 1/4″ White grosgrain ribbon or 1″ White organdy ribbon, Corner rounder punch, Eyelet Border or Scallop Edge punch, 1-3/4″ circle punch, Heart to Heart punch, Dimensionals, Nesties,

How’s your Wednesday going?
This is the 3rd snow day in a row my children have had off of school. Tomorrow they have a 2 hour delay start. All in the name of less than a foot of snow! I heard on the news that Richmond sold their good snow plow equipment many years back because they don’t usually need it. They’re sorry this year! This was our 2nd or 3rd snowstorm this season and another is supposed to happen this Friday/Saturday…we’ll see.
Here’s another card made with the Lovely As A Tree set. I love these colors together and haven’t used them for awhile. I don’t think I’ve used Mellow Moss is a REALLY long time. It’s nothing fancy but it’s clean and crisp looking.
Here’s What I Used:
Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Mellow Moss, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black Craft Ink
Accessories: Black Embossing Powder, Black Gingham ribbon, Corner Rounder Punch, 2 black brads, Spellbinder die,
Happy Groundhog Day!
I scrapped a page of my grandaughter’s 3rd birthday I thought I’d share. It’s a quick 6″x 6″ page in Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo. They were the perfect colors to match her shirt! I loved the way she was holding her hair from getting into the candles as she blew them out! She has had LOTS of hair since the day she was born!
Welcome to all Our Creative Corner followers! Happy Saturday! What a fun challenge we have for you today! It’s the last challenge in January and Joycelyn has done a fabulous job with making the challenges interesting and fun this month! Thanks Joycelyn–GREAT job!
I had my song choicse down to two that I was debating. Even though my fav group is Lifehouse, they’re not what inspired me for this challenge. I was debating between “Slice” and “Above the Timberline” by Five for Fighting. I was going to use the Tart n Tangy stampset for Slice but I decided to go with Lovely as a Tree for Above the Timberline.
Here’s what I used: It’s pretty self-explanitory though!
Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, En Francais, All Holidays
Paper: Kraft, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Black Craft
Accessories: Black Embossing Powder, Black Satin ribbon, Corner rounder punch, MS tag punch, Dimensionals, Embroidery floss,
