Pumpkin/Pumpkin Pie Challenge

It’s been several weeks since I posted and I appreciate those of you who have expressed concern.  To make a very long story short, my daughter had her 3rd child recently and I went to help out.  About 15 hours after birth the doctors found that the baby had a heart problem and he needed surgery.  I was there with her and her family in NW Idaho to help how I could and had to extend my stay longer than anticipated.  He is doing fine now and will hopefully go home next week.  It’s been a long stressful process and we have learned a lot!  Not the kind of helping that I expected to be doing but we are grateful he is on the road to recovery. Now for today’s challenge hosted by ME!  Who doesn’t look forward to pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving?!  Well Thanksgiving is soon approaching and with the anticipation of pumpkin pie, the challenge this week is to create a project using pumpkins or the color pumpkin pie as the focal point or main color of your project! This image was really really hard to get the colors right for some reason and they still aren’t correct!!  The ribbon and lg pumpkin are made from SU’s pumpkin pie DSP and 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon.  They REALLY ARE the same color although not in this photo.  I worked a long time trying to get the colors right and finally gave up.  You’ll have to take my word for it!

Here’s What I Used:
Stamps:  Holidays & Wishes
Paper:  Pumpkin Pie & DSP, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip & DSP, More Mustard DSP, Haiku DSP,
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, (Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard sponged around ovals)
Accessories:  Mat Pack/Paper Piercer, Lg oval punch, Sm oval punch, Corner Rounder punch, Pumpkin Pie 1/4″ grosgrain, Scallop die, Spellbinder label, misc buttons,

Head over to see what the OCC Design Team has created. Everyone is welcome to play along, if you upload to SCS use the keyword OCCC. If you would like to be considered for the ‘Top Talent’ award you must have your card/project submitted on the OCC blog post by Tuesday midnight on Tuesday Nov 18th.  Good Luck! I can’t wait to see what you create this week!

Here’s What I Used:
