Happy Wedding Day!

My niece is getting married today and I’m sad I can’t be there.  I’ve had several nieces and nephews get married since we moved to Virginia and I couldn’t attend.  Not being at the wedding makes it hard not only because you can’t celebrate with them and see extended family and friends, but it also makes it hard to think of them as married and starting their own family.  (*sigh*)  :(

Simply Sketched Calypso-Cantaloupe

I’m sharing a card with you that I made in a very short amount of time today.  I think the whole thing from first thought that I needed a thank-you card to then picking colors and stamp and then finishing took no more than an hour.  And I had to open the supplies as they were just delivered!  I’m pleased with the way it turned out for not much thought!  Hope it inspires you!

I work with the young women 12-18yrs in our church and so when I say one of “my girls” had a birthday, it’s not one of my two daughter’s although they very much feel like my daughters! lol  One of my girl’s turn 18 today!  Happy Birthday, Lauren!
